Organic and locally grown vegetables are sold in grocery stores and at farmer’s markets. Natural vegetable seasoning mixes sold in jars or packets to use with your choice of vegetables. Roasted vegetables make a great sandwich, side, or main dish. Follow the baking instructions on the seasoning mix. To print click

Herbed Pita Chips

                                         Pairs perfectly with a cottage cheese and green onion dip.

                    1 t Garlic Salt                                                          6 Pita Bread Pockets
                    1/2 C Olive Oil                                                         1/2 t Black Pepper
                    1/2 t Dried Basil

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Slice pita pockets in half lengthwise to form two circles, and then each half into 8 triangles.  Mix oil & spices. Brush each triangle with oil mixture. Brush cookie sheet to grease and place triangles on sheet. Bake for about 7 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. Watch carefully or they will burn. To print click here.

Holiday Fruit Salad

Use your favorite fruit.

Sliced Kiwi                                      Sliced Peaches
 Sliced Bananas                                       Sliced Strawberries
                Chopped Apples                                      Mandarin Orange Sections
                           Seedless Grapes                                      Whipped Cream (see DESSERTS)
